Digital X-Ray at St. Joseph Health Centre: Advancing Diagnostic Care
August 13, 2026Make This Christmas a Giving Journey
As Christmas draws closer, you may already be thinking about the people you want to celebrate with, the memories you hope to make, and the kindness you would like to share. We invite you to add one more meaningful moment to your festive season: the Ujiachilie Fundraising Tea Party, taking place on 13 December 2026 during the Christmas Carols at St. Joseph Health Centre.
What Is the Ujiachilie Programme?
Ujiachilie is a programme at St. Joseph Health Centre that supports children with disabilities from families facing financial challenges. For many of these families, finding the right care can mean balancing essential needs against the cost of treatment and ongoing support. That can be difficult, especially when a child needs more than one service to make progress.
Through Ujiachilie, children can access medical care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and special education. The programme also works to equip mothers and caregivers with skills to support their children beyond the therapy room. It continues at home, in school, and in the everyday moments when a family learns what works best.
When you support Ujiachilie, you help strengthen that wider circle of care. You help families feel that they are not facing the journey alone, and you help create opportunities for children to participate more fully in their communities.
A practical goal for 2027
Accessing the services a child needs can be costly. On average, it takes about KSh 100,000 per child to support medical treatment, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, special education, and caregiver training. For a family already managing everyday expenses, that amount may be beyond reach.
Our goal is to help 20 children from the waiting list access care in 2027.
You may be able to make a donation, share the programme with someone who might help, invite colleagues to take part, or attend the tea party. Every contribution can help move the campaign forward.
