Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established clinical protocols and standards

Conduct obstetric, abdominal, pelvic, and basic emergency ultrasound scans (as applicable to hospital services)

Accurately document, interpret, and report ultrasound findings to the requesting clinicians

Ensure proper use, care, and basic maintenance of ultrasound equipment

Maintain patient confidentiality, dignity, and safety at all times

Explain procedures clearly to patients and provide compassionate care

Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff

Adhere to hospital policies, infection prevention, and radiation safety guidelines

Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement of imaging services

Diploma or Degree in Medical Ultrasound / Diagnostic Sonography from a recognized institution

Registration and valid practicing license with the relevant professional body

Proven experience as a sonographer, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting

Competence in obstetric and general ultrasound examinations (experience in emergency or pediatric ultrasound is an added advantage)

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Good communication and interpersonal skills

High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct

Willingness to work flexible hours as required (including weekends or on-call, if needed)
